About Us

We are Elizabeth and Peter Ashford and we share an enthusiastic knowledge of art, architecture and horticulture that drives our passion for creating fabulous outdoor spaces.

Elizabeth, the principal designer at Lisbeth’s Garden, studied at both The School of Garden Design at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Edinburgh and at the Inchbald School of Design in London.

 She is a member of the Society of Garden Designers and the Royal Horticultural Society.

Peter has successfully refurbished and developed property over a number of years and Lisbeth’s Garden evolved from a stand alone design company into a design and build company on the back of this experience. 

In addition to our design business, we opened ‘Lisbeth’s Garden’ in Sheffield, which was a boutique style garden shop retailing a wide range of exclusive products for both house and garden.  As a result of our retail experience we can use our extensive network of contacts with specialist suppliers throughout Europe to source quality assured planting materials and garden orientated accessories (specifically contemporary furniture) for both your house and garden.

For over a decade Lisbeth’s Garden has been working with a team of highly skilled craftsmen to make our clients ‘dream garden’ become a reality. We have designed and built a variety of gardens during this time, including gardens within conservation areas and adjoining listed buildings.  Additionally we have also created gardens for special occasions such as wedding receptions and significant anniversaries.  Please view our gallery page.
